GIS warns against a batch of Winiary sauces. It may cause an allergic reaction

The Chief Sanitary Inspectorate issued a warning on Thursday regarding a batch of Winiary sauces. Consumption of the product by people with a wheat allergy or gluten intolerance may cause an allergic reaction.

GIS was informed by Nestlé Polska SA about the voluntary withdrawal from sale and from consumers of the specified a batch of three WINIARY brand sauces. The reason for the product recall is the detection of gluten in the raw material used to produce these sauces.

Details of withdrawn batches:

  • Product name: WINIARY Bolognese Sauce 500g,
  • Batch number: 240423B/1,
  • Best before date: 04.2026.
  • Product name: WINIARY Tomato sauce for Spaghetti 500g,
  • Batch number: 240422A/1, 240422B/1,
  • Best before date: 04.2026.
  • Product name: American BBQ sauce with burnt sugar syrup 348g,
  • Batch number: 240420A/1, 240421A/1,
  • Best before date: 04.2025.

The announcement stated that Nestle Polska SA has taken action to immediately withdraw the above-mentioned batches from circulation.. A message on this matter addressed to consumers was also published on the company's website.

“Consumers with gluten intolerance or wheat allergy should not consume the batches of sauces specified in this announcement,” GIS warns.

Nestle Polska SA informed that customers who purchased the indicated products may contact the Consumer Service to exchange the products or ask additional questions on this matter.
