The 50-year-old Volkswagen driver in Gliwice exceeded the speed and was tracked by policemen. At the signal to stop, he rushed to escape, and then he arrived in the policemen, tried to push them into the ditch. They used official weapons, but only the blockade in the forest stopped him.

Policemen from the police station in Gliwice controlled the speed of vehicles on Wednesday at the exit of A4 in the area of ​​the Osktrop node. Around 13.17 they tracked the driver of Volkswagen Passat, who drove too fast by over 30 km/h.

“When they decided to stop him, the driver first slowed down, and commuting to policemen, he accelerated violently. Policemen chased him” – describes the police in Gliwice.

“The fugitive at that time arrived several times and tried to push the police car, hitting him. Then the police decided to use a service weapon” – we read in the communiqué.

– Shots were fired, but no one was shot – assures Marzena Szwed, a spokeswoman for the police in Gliwice.

How many shots were scored and where the bullets hit – this is only the prosecutor assessed, in the evening the activities with his participation were still ongoing.

The shots certainly did not stop the driver.
