Głuchołazy. More looters sentenced to prison. They robbed a garage

The District Court in Prudnik (Opole Province) sentenced two men who robbed a flood victim's garage during the flood in Głuchołazy. They were sentenced to eight months in prison and a fine. The verdict is not final.

The incident took place on September 18 this year in Głuchołazy. Residents of the city noticed that someone had broken into the garage belonging to a flood victim and stolen rims with tires.

The car containing the stolen items was quickly found, as were the two residents of the Silesian Voivodeship who had driven it to Głuchołazy.

The value of the stolen items was estimated at 14 thousand PLN.

As reported by the District Prosecutor's Office in Opole, the court in Prudnik sentenced both men to eight months in prison and fines of PLN 4,000 and PLN 6,000. The accused will also have to cover the costs of the proceedings.

The verdict is not final. The prosecutor considered the amount of the penalty to be fair.
