Hanna Gucwińska, the long-time director of the Wrocław Zoo, is dead. The mayor of Wrocław, Jacek Sutryk, announced her death on Sunday evening. She was 91 years old.
Gucwińska, together with her husband Antoni Gucwiński, worked at the Municipal Zoo in Wrocław for many years, serving as directors. She started working there in 1957.
She co-created “With a camera among animals”
From 1971, for 30 years she co-created the television program “With a Camera Among Animals”. She was the author of numerous books and scientific articles.
