A 33-year-old man drove a motorcycle into one of the supermarkets in Chełm (Lubelskie Voivodeship) for an unknown reason. The police were called to the scene, and the motorcyclist parked the vehicle by the cash registers. When the uniforms arrived at the store, the man started beeping his horn.

The incident happened on Friday morning. Police were alerted that a motorcyclist had entered the store. Upon arrival, they found him sitting in a vehicle near the cash desks. – The officers were forced to use direct coercion measures. Earlier, they removed the keys from the motorcycle’s ignition to prevent him from continuing to drive – informs commissioner Ewa Czyż, spokeswoman for the district headquarters in Chełm.

The 33-year-old turned out to be sober. The tests also ruled out the use of other drugs.

Due to the irrational behavior of a 33-year-old from the Chełm district, an ambulance was called to the scene. The man was hospitalized.

– In the course of further activities, it will be necessary to check whether and to what extent the man’s behavior could have endangered the safety of people in the vicinity – concludes the policewoman.
