A hot Sunday is behind us. In three cities in the country, the temperature reached 35.5 degrees Celsius – reported the Institute of Meteorology and Water Management.

June ended with a heat wave in our country. The hottest of the last was Sunday, June 30. In most of the country, the temperature in the shade exceeded 30 degrees Celsius.

Among the warmest places was Wroclaw. The local synoptic station recorded 35.5 degrees Celsius. The same value was also recorded at the Warsaw-Filtry meteorological station and in Legionowo – according to data provided by the Institute of Meteorology and Water Management on social media.

Was a record broken?

The July heat record in Poland is 38.3 degrees Celsius. It was set in Radzyń (Lubuskie Province) in 2019, and was equaled in Słubice in 2022. On Sunday, the June record was less than three degrees away.
