As of August 1, disabled people can apply for funding to purchase a car under the “Independence-Activity-Mobility” program. Financial support can reach up to 85 percent of the car's value.
As part of the “Independence-Activity-Mobility” program From 1 to 31 August this year, disabled people can apply for co-financing for the purchase of a new or used car The aim of support is to increase their independence and facilitate social or professional activity.
“The subsidy covers part of the costs of purchasing an adapted passenger car, i.e. a vehicle in which technical adjustments have been made to the individual needs of the driver or passenger with a disability requiring them to use a wheelchair. The adjustments should be made in a way that allows the driver or passenger to take up the seat without having to change from the wheelchair,” explains the State Fund for the Rehabilitation of Disabled Persons (PFRON).
What is important, the subsidy can be used to purchase both new and used vehicles adapted for people with disabilities. However, several conditions must be met first.
