When this situation starts to occur in the intensely dividing cells of the hair follicle, there is an overall deterioration of our strands. Hair becomes visibly thinner and weaker, as well as duller and more brittle. Weakened follicles cause increased hair loss, which can lead to significant hair thinning and baldness.
