Hungarians. A wall collapsed on the man, he did not survive

A tragic accident in Węgrów (Masovian Voivodeship). During the renovation works, an uninhabited building collapsed into one of the workers. The man did not survive.

As confirmed by the fire brigade from Węgrów, the Emergency Notification Center received a report on the accident on the corner of Kościelna and Mickiewicza Streets on Saturday. – A man aged about 50 was injured. An ambulance arrived, which was conducted by medical activities. The man was previously released from the debris probably by other people there. The rescuers found the death of a man – the younger brigadier Piotr Małyska, the duty officer of the fire brigade in Węgrów, told us. He added that the firefighters' activities consisted in securing the place of the incident.

A helicopter of the Air Ambulance also landed on the spot.

The information was also confirmed by the local police. – During the construction works a wall collapsed as a result of which a man died. It was near the presbytery. Policemen work all the time on the spot – the spokeswoman for the Węgrów Police aspirant Monika Księżopolska told us.
