Huuuge is planning mass layoffs in its subsidiary Huuuge Games, which will affect an estimated 21 percent of employees in the entire group, the game manufacturer said in a statement. Huuuge does not rule out further cuts, and the reduction in employment may amount to approximately 28 percent of employees.

As stated in the announcement, the management board of the subsidiary Huuuge Games has adopted a resolution on the intention to carry out collective layoffs and start the consultation process on this matter. The company anticipates that group layoffs at Huuuge Games will be carried out by the end of February 2025 and will cover an estimated 21 percent of employees in the entire capital group (as at the end of December 31, 2024).

At the same time, Huuuge announces a parallel review of the employment structure in the entire group, including outside Poland, and does not rule out further cuts. As a result of such actions, the employment reduction in the capital group (as at the end of December 31, 2024) will amount to approximately 28%. employed – transferred.

Huuuge announced that it will publish another report on collective layoffs after completing the legally required consultation process with employee representatives.

“The final data on the impact of the subsidiary's employment restructuring on the financial results of the issuer and its capital group will be presented in the consolidated report for the first quarter of 2025,” the company said.

Huuuge rate up

Huuuge shares stood out positively among companies grouped in the mWIG40 index. The price increase on Thursday afternoon was close to 7%.

In addition to Huuuge, the Warsaw Stock Exchange lists gaming companies such as CD Projekt, PlayWay, 11 bit studios, PCF Group, CI Games, Creepy Jar and Ten Square Games.
