Thick fogs appear in southern Poland and in Pomerania. Visibility may be limited to 100 meters – informs the Institute of Meteorology and Water Management. Warnings are in effect.
Forecasters from the Institute of Meteorology and Water Management (IMGW) have issued first degree warnings.
IMWM warnings – dense fog
First degree warnings apply in the following provinces:
- West Pomeranianin the counties of Sławno, Koszalin, KoszalinKołobrzeg, Gryfice, Kamień, Swinoujscie;
- Pomeranianin the following counties: Słupsk, SlupskLębork, Wejherowo, Puck;
- Lower Silesianin the counties of: Lubań, Lwówek, Karkonosze, Jelenia GoraKamienna Góra, Wałbrzych, WalbrzychKłodzko;
- Opolein the Głubczyce and Kędzierzyn-Koźle counties;
- Silesianin the districts of Racibórz, Wodzisław, Rybnik, Rybnik, ZoryPszczyna, Jastrzębie-Zdrój, Cieszyn, Bielsk, Bielsko-BialaMikołów, TychyBieruń-Lędziny;
- Lesser Polandin the counties of: Wieliczka, CracowKrakow, Wadowice, Chrzanów, Oświęcim, Nowy Targ.
The warnings will be in effect from 10pm on Tuesday until 9am and 10am on Wednesday.. Dense fog is forecast, with visibility limited to 100 metres in places.
What are the first level IMWM warnings?
Conditions are predicted to be conducive to the occurrence of dangerous meteorological phenomena that may cause material losses and threaten health and life. Conducting business in conditions of exposure to these factors is difficult and dangerous. Expect difficulties resulting from conducting activities in the area of ​​the threat, including delays caused by traffic disruptions, disruptions in the course of outdoor events or the possibility of their cancellation. Caution is recommended, the need to follow messages and the development of the weather situation.
