IMWM warns against dense fog. Thursday morning in most of the country brings a serious reduction in visibility. Check where you should be especially careful.
As tvnmeteo.pl forecaster Damian Zdonek reported on Thursday morning, there was numerous fog in the morning in almost the entire country except north-eastern Poland. At 6 a.m. visibility was limited to 100-200 meters in cities and towns: Wrocław, Opole, Nowy Sącz, Krosno, Kłodzko, Legnica, Zielona Góra, ŁódźSulejów, Kielce, RadomWieluń, Lublin, Kozienice, Kalisz, Siedlce, Warsaw, Modlin, Płock, Toruń, Bydgoszcz, Ostrołęka, Mława.
Forecasters from the Institute of Meteorology and Water Management (IMGW) issued warnings.
IMWM warnings – dense fog
First degree warnings apply to the following voivodeships:
- West Pomeranian Voivodeshipcounties: Police, Goleniów, Szczecin, Gryfino, Myślibórz, Pyrzycki, Stargard, Łobez, Choszczno, Wałecki;
- Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeshipoutside the following counties: Tuchola, Świecie, Grudziądz, Grudziądz, Chełmno;
- Greater Poland;
- Lubuskie;
- Lower Silesia;
- Opole Province;
- Silesian;
- Łódź;
- Masovian Voivodeshipoutside the following counties: Przasnysz, Maków, Ostrołęka, Ostrołęka, Ostrów, Wyszków, Węgrów, Sokołów, Siedlce, Siedlce, Łosicki;
- Świętokrzyskie;
- Lesser Poland;
- Lublin Province;
- Podkarpackie.
Visibility may be below 200 meters in places. The warnings will be valid until 9 a.m. on Thursday.

What are IMWM first degree warnings?
Conditions are expected to favor the occurrence of dangerous meteorological phenomena that may cause material losses and pose a threat to health and life. Conducting business in conditions of exposure to these factors is difficult and dangerous. Expect difficulties resulting from carrying out activities in the hazardous area, including delays caused by traffic disruptions, disruptions to outdoor events or the possibility of their cancellation.
