As in previous years, the forms of European investment support remain non-repayable grants and repayable support in the form of loans, sureties and guarantees. Detailed areas of support, specific activities and groups of beneficiaries are determined individual programs. It is worth getting acquainted with the details of each of them.
European funds support closed circulation in enterprises
The circular economy (Circular Economy) is a model particularly supported by the European Union. It assumes minimization of the consumption of raw materials and generated waste thanks to their reuse. For companies, investments in circular economy activities mean the modernization of production processes, leading to reduced operating costs and increased competitiveness on the market. In the years 2021-2027, a number of activities are planned addressed to micro, small and medium-sized enterprises interested in implementing the principles of circular economy. On PARP website dedicated to circular economy you can find detailed explanations of the concepts related to this model and the benefits for companies and the environment that result from the investment. Importantly, there is also information about current recruitment processes and planned events related to circular economy.
Do you want to develop a business model that will allow you to transform into a closed-loop company?
In July 2024, another recruitment process was launched Stage I of the “Circular Economy in SMEs” action. Under it, you can obtain financial support for developing a business model that will help in the implementation of circular economy in enterprises. This mainly concerns the financing of advisory services provided by external advisors. The funds come from the European Funds for Eastern Poland and provide support for micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) conducting business activities in the territory of Eastern Poland. You can receive a maximum of 100% of the project's eligible costs, and in such a case the entrepreneur does not have to provide his own contribution. The call for applications lasts until April 3, 2025 and is conducted by PARP.
In turn, SMEs from Eastern Poland, which have already developed a circular economy-transformation business model as part of the previous first stage calls for proposals, may apply for support in its implementation until March 19, 2025 (activity “Circular Economy in SMEs, Stage II – Implementation of the Circular Economy-Transformation Business Model”). EU funds can be used for advisory services that are necessary to implement the model approved by PARP. Co-financing also covers the purchase and implementation of modern technologies, the purchase of environmentally friendly machines, and the training and retraining of employees in order to adapt to new processes introduced in the company. The maximum support is as much as 85% of the project value.
