Jan Englert has always had his own opinion on acting. – You are an actor when you can do something – he said some time ago in an interview for Plejada. In recent years, we have seen a significant increase in the popularity of pseudo-documentary programmes, which often become a platform for people who are not professionally involved in acting. “Right now, on TV, we have 60% amateurs who play in various series, and pseudo-documentaries have a higher viewership than television drama, for example” – began Englert. “And we have to accept this or protest. I protest. […] I believe that the fact that we live in times where quantity wins over quality is what determines my reluctance to make things easier thanks to technology,” he added.

Jan Englert is honest about his future

The actor was once asked about his place in the ever-changing world. Englert shared a surprisingly pessimistic vision. “Where is my place? Nowhere. I'm dying. That's why I don't have the slightest problem with it. I mean, I do, because I'm worried about those I'm teaching at the moment. I am worried from the perspective of a person who has experienced another world and another life,” he explained in an interview with PAP Life. However, this confession should not raise concerns among Englert's fans. The actor is still professionally active and is involved in many projects.
