Koszalin. Drunk driver caused a collision, her passenger was wanted

On one of the streets of Koszalin, two people were arrested for getting into a car under the influence of alcohol. First, a 38-year-old woman reversed and hit a car that was driving correctly. After a moment, a 39-year-old passenger took her place and parked the car. Both tried to leave the scene. Both had about two per mille of alcohol in their systems.

Koszalin officers received a report of a road collision that occurred on Jana z Kolna Street in Koszalin. According to the uniformed officers, the 38-year-old driver, reversing, hit a car that was driving correctly.

“The passenger riding with the woman got behind the wheel, parked the car and both tried to leave the scene,” reads the police statement.

Breathalyzer tests showed they were drunk. The woman had 1.8 per mille of alcohol in her exhaled air, and the 39-year-old man had 0.4 per mille more.

Additionally, after checking police systems, the officers learned that the man had a lifetime driving ban, which had been issued by a Koszalin court.

Both will now be held accountable in court for their actions.
