– No, I don't have a contract for the next season. We'll see what will happen. This information has not yet appeared, but we are in talks with the manager and we are looking for a new club. (…) I feel that [ZAKSA Kędzierzyn-Koźle, przyp. red.] This is a good place at the moment of my career, but we will have to look for something else – Bartosz Kurek gave in December, which caused a lot of stir. The attacker was a great star of the Kędzierzyn team, he often led her to victory, shining in the form, and yet he decided to part with her.

And already on Thursday, Kurek played the last meeting for ZAKSA. He shone in her colors again. It was he who sealed the triumph for the fifth place on Asseco Resovia Rzeszów, when in the last action of the fourth set he blocked Bartosz Bednorz. Ultimately, Kędzierzyn won in the rematch 3: 2 (in the first match it was 3: 1).
After the meeting, Kurek approached Polsat Sport journalist and gave a short interview, during which he said goodbye to the club. – Congratulations to all boys for this season. (…) It was very nice to say goodbye to this match in Kędzierzyn – Kurek began, and then told a bit about returning to PlusLiga.
– At the beginning this return to the competition in the Polish league was long for me, because I had to serve my home and wait for the opportunity to play. But later it was pure pleasure. I think that the players who hesitate, they get an excellent volleyball advertisement every day and I think that every player who comes here will definitely develop sports, but also survive the best moments on the pitch – he continued.
He also turned directly to the fans. He took the floor about their doping, which was really impressive throughout the season. Although the team did not play to the best of their abilities, the fans did not leave it. And they gave another show in the last meeting of this campaign.
– I have to admit that this is one thing that I underestimated a bit during my first stay in Kędzierzyn. Now I see that this supporter community, these doping people, coming to matches, is the greatest force of Kędzierzyn. And it's really nice to do your job for them. Thank you very much. (…) Today, for a while, you could feel like a slightly higher rate at a match – emphasized Kurek.

What future awaits the 36-year-old attacker? This is not known yet.
