“We can confirm the death of a US government employee who worked under the leadership of the head of mission at the embassy in Kiev,” said a statement sent to Ukrainian media.

Unofficial information about the details of the incident appeared on social media. Ukrainian Pravda reported that the man's body was found on Tuesday Hilton Hotel Room.
The website's sources said there were no signs of violence. Death most likely occurred due to natural causes.
Igor Suszko from the “Wind of Changes” think tank reported via social media that the deceased had recently arrived in Kiev. He was supposed to take over the position just a dozen or so days ago, on June 15.
“The man's body will undergo an autopsy soon,” Suszko added.
