Police officers from Garwolin and Łaskarzewo (Masovian Voivodeship) detained a man who damaged an ATM with a stone. The bank estimated the losses at PLN 16,000. The 66-year-old faces up to five years in prison.
A few days ago, police officers in Garwolin received a report about damage to an ATM. The incident took place at the end of 2024 in Łaskarzew. The bank estimated the value of the losses at PLN 16,000.

He confessed
– Surveillance footage showed a man repeatedly hitting the device with a stone. The police established the identity of the perpetrator and his whereabouts. The arrest took place on the same day that the officers received the report, said the spokeswoman for the Garwolin police, Assistant Commissioner Małgorzata Pychner.

The suspect, a 66-year-old resident of the Garwolin district, was placed in a police cell and faced charges. During the proceedings, he admitted to committing the offense he was accused of. His fate will now be decided by the court. – According to current regulations, destruction of property is punishable by up to five years' imprisonment – the policewoman reminded.
