Robert Lewandowski has scored in three of the first four matches of the new La Liga season and it is largely thanks to him that FC Barcelona is the leader of the table and is the only team in the league that has not lost a point yet. Catalan journalists are once again writing praise about the Pole. They have reason to be.

Thursday's edition of the daily “Sport” describes his form as “rebirth”. Journalists point out that this is, among other things, due to very good physical preparation.. -Robert got to work to intensify his preparations with one goal in mind: to enjoy many goals again – we read.
“Sport” columnist Joan Vehils also devotes a few words to Lewandowski, writing directly that the Pole's form is one of the best pieces of news at the beginning of this season for Barcelona.
“His goals and his connection with the young players are fundamental for Barcelona. He is one of the biggest beneficiaries of the change in the system,” he writes, noting that Hansi Flick wants to play more directly. He points to Lewandowski's excellent partnerships with Lamin Yamal, Raphinha and summer signing Dani Olmo.
Vehils warns, however, that the problem for Lewandowski may be the lack of a natural substitute. “Flick will have to deal with it when the number of matches starts to accumulate. Sooner or later he will have to rotate,” he comments. The journalist also predicts the rest of the season. “He's back to who he was. It will be interesting to watch his duel with Mbappe,” he concludes.
It was the Frenchman who, before the start of the new La Liga season, appeared to be one of the main favourites to win the top scorer's classification. For now, however, he has to watch Lewandowski's back, who dreams of repeating the result from his first season in Catalonia. He became the league's top scorer then.
Robert Lewandowski has played 99 matches for Barcelona since 2022, scoring 63 goals and providing 18 assists. The next match scheduled for September 15 against Girona will be an opportunity for a jubilee and a 100th appearance in navy blue and burgundy colors. The Spaniards also recall last season, when in the two-legged match between the two teams, Girona crushed the team led by Xavi 4:2. And that twice.
