Hit at a pedestrian crossing in Lubin, Lower Silesia. The woman was running across the road with a green light when a car hit her. The 31-year-old woman rolled over the hood of the vehicle and fell onto the road. Fortunately, there were no serious injuries.
The collision occurred on Christmas Eve morning at a pedestrian crossing on Piłsudskiego Street in Lubin.
– A 75-year-old driver of a Volkswagen passenger car was leaving Å»urawia Street, turning into PiÅ‚sudskiego Street. When the light turned green, the man turned right. Unfortunately, he did not notice that the green light also gives pedestrians permission to cross. At that time, there was a young woman who was hurrying towards Przylesie. She was hit by a car – said staff aspirant Krzysztof Pawlik from the District Police Headquarters in Lubin.
I ended up with bruises
The force of the impact was so great that the woman rolled over the hood of the vehicle and fell onto the road. – Fortunately, the car did not have time to accelerate and in the end, despite the dangerous-looking incident, I ended up with bruises. The injured party underwent comprehensive examinations to exclude more serious injuries, the policeman added.
The driver was fined PLN 2,500.
