Magdalena Biejat took over the rainbow flag from Rafał Trzaskowski. Explains: it hit me

I was very surprised by the gesture of hiding this flag by Rafał Trzaskowski – said Left candidate Magdalena Biejat in “Facts after Facts”. She explained why she decided to take over the LGBTQ+ community flag from the candidate during the debate. “It hit me and I thought that representatives of this environment did not deserve it,” she said.

During the Friday debate in Końskie, the candidate PIS Karol Nawrocki put in front of the KO candidate Rafał Trzaskowski Rainbow Flag. Shortly after this situation, the left candidate Magdalena Biejat said: – I wanted to offer Rafał Trzaskowski because I just saw that he had hidden the rainbow flag. I am not ashamed of her, I will gladly take her away from you.

She then went to Trzaskowski and took over the flag from him.

In Saturday's “facts after facts” on TVN24 Biejat was asked how the decision was made to take a rainbow flag from the KO candidate. “I was very surprised by this gesture of hiding this flag by Rafał Trzaskowski under the desk,” she said.

She also noted that she did not surprise her that Nawrocki took the LGBTQ+flag with him. – I rather disgusted me that he was trying to play with it again, that he was trying to play some reluctance to the environments again LGBT she said. As Biejat emphasized, “these are also our citizens and making a negative campaign is simply disgusting.” “But it didn't surprise me at all, because it is known, he is a representative of the extreme right,” she added.

– On the other hand, what surprised me is that Rafał Trzaskowski instead of saying: Hey, please do not try to embarrass me here, because I am not ashamed of this flag, but simply with some shame he hid her under the rostrum – she admitted. – It hit me and I thought that representatives of this environment did not deserve it, homosexuals who live in Poland do not deserve it, they demand their rights here – she added.

“I was curious about the position of Rafał Trzaskowski”

The presidential candidate was also asked why she directed most of the questions during the debate to Trzaskowski.

– Because I was curious about Rafał Trzaskowski's position on various matters and I must say that at some moments he surprised me and even saddened – she said. – This particularly concerned his position on the ban on the sale of alcohol at gas stations. I was even shocked that he said that he would veto such an act – said Biejat.

Asked why she did not take the questions of the PiS candidate in the fire, she emphasized that “Rafał Trzaskowski has recently changed his views and I was curious at what stage she was now.” – Karol Nawrocki simply has no views. In my opinion, this is not an interesting character. However, it is interesting with Rafał Trzaskowski – said Biejat.

As she said, “this is a man who was considered a progressive man, as a person with progressive views, and now he suddenly turns out that the rainbow flag hides under the podium” or “he makes images to the confederation.”

And now the idea that when we reduce contributions, we will reduce health care, whatever will change in this system, it is absurd, it is simply lying people in the eye – said Biejat.
