The bodies of a 27-year-old woman and a 34-year-old man were found in one of the apartments in Małomice (Lubusz Voivodeship). – Family members could not contact them, so the services were alerted. The entrance door was forced by firefighters – said Deputy Commissioner Arkadiusz Szlachetko from the police in Żagań in an interview with tvn24.pl. There was probably carbon monoxide poisoning.
Assistant Commissioner Szlachetko, spokesman for the District Police Headquarters in Żagań, said that the evidence was being secured at the site on Sunday evening. – The officers' work is carried out under the supervision of the prosecutor's office. The circumstances indicate that there was fatal carbon monoxide poisoning, but this version will still be thoroughly checked. We are still at the initial stage of explaining the tragedy – a policeman told tvn24.pl before midnight.
No contact
As the spokesman for the Żagań police station added, the relatives of the deceased had been trying to contact them for a long time. – When these attempts turned out to be ineffective, family members arrived at the scene and knocked on the door. They alerted the services about everything. Firefighters arrived at the scene and broke down the entrance door. The bodies of a 27-year-old woman and a 34-year-old man were found inside the premises, the police said.
