Durczok's ex-wife remembers him fondly, even though many remember the controversy surrounding the deceased journalist. What did she say in the media about her ex-husband? “He had power, money, applause, he had the impression that he was allowed to do anything, and this was very corrupting,” Dufek admitted to ShowNews.pl. “If he were not egocentric and authoritative, he would not have achieved what he has achieved. Each of us – television journalists, just like actors, care about recognition and viewership, this gives us satisfaction,” she explained. The couple's son decided to change his surname so as not to be associated with his father's affairs. It is currently called Kamil Dufek-Durczok. His mother she recalled that she wanted him to “work through his perception of his father” and remember him as a professional journalist.
