With less than a month until Poland open their World Cup campaign some fans will be doing all they can to figure out who Poland are playing and how are they going to get out of the group. UK betting apps have given Poland a reasonable chance of escaping what seems like a tough group for the White Eagles.

However, with only the top two spots available for any sort of progression into the knockout stage the likes of Robert Lewandowski, Wojciech Szczęsny, Matty Cash and Mateusz Klich will all have to be at the top of their game if they are to take on their opponents in Group C.

Who else is in Group C?

Although Group B with England, Iran, Wales and USA has been labelled the Group of Death for this World Cup, Group C could easily take that label as well with three well-established World Cup nations.

In Group C are Poland, Argentina, Mexico and Saudi Arabia. All three have recent history in the World Cup and will prove tricky customers in the group stage.

Mexico- 22nd November

First, up for Poland will be Mexico. Although the Mexicans have never got any further than the quarter-finals and the last time that happened was at the 1986 World Cup in their own country, they have made it out of the group for the past seven tournaments. They have a great knack for sneaking out of a group and could be the ones to go through in second place unless Poland can get a victory against them in the first game.

Mexico have cut their squad to 31 players already and among them are some very good players. Mexico’s dangermen will certainly be Raul Jimenez, Hirving Lozano, Jesus Corona and Hector Herrera. However, this is a winnable game for Poland and this first game will be pivotal to their group position.

Saudi Arabia- 26th November

The Polish side will be back in action 4 days later against Saudi Arabia; arguably the easiest game of the group. However, the Saudis will not be taken lightly playing in their home continent they could prove to be one of the better sides as they know their surroundings more than the European and South American competition in the group.

Their best run was in 1994 in the USA as they got out of the group but having only won one game in the next four World Cups history is not on their side.

The most dangerous-looking Saudi Arabian players who could cause the Polish side some difficulty are Salem Al Dawsari, Yasser Al Shahrani and Sultan Al Ghannam.

Argentina- 30th November

The final game of the group could be the toughest game they have to play depending on how the opening game goes against Mexico. Argentina need no introduction having won the World Cup twice in 1978 and 1986. Most recently they finished runners-up in 2014 and will always be considered to make the quarter-finals as a minimum.

With the likes of Angel Di Maria, Paulo Dybala and of course Lionel Messi, Argentina are always a threat up front. In recent times the defence and more notably from the 2018 World Cup the goalkeeper has caused issues for the Argentinians. Finding the right balance is important for them at this World Cup.
