With the announcement of the new government, Sławomir Nitras became the Minister of Sport and Tourism. Recently, the media has written about his conflict with Radosław Piesiewicz, i.e. the president of the Polish Olympic Committee. Both gentlemen spared no harsh words of criticism. Their dispute concerned many issues, including non -sports ones.
Nitras immediately answered Duda. “It smells of a lie”
It turns out that Piesiewicz is not the only politician associated with PiS, with whom Nitras has on the stump. On Friday, February 28, the Minister of Sport sharply responded to the entry of Andrzej Duda regarding the alleged meeting with sports relationships. The president in social media accused the current power of nepotism in this type of organizations.
“I had a meeting with sports associations today. This is another area of life in Poland that the Civic Coalition and the D. Tusk government are trying to strictly subordinate themselves. They don't recognize any independence and self -government.
Sławomir Nitras reacted quickly to his words, who doubts that the president met with representatives of sports relationships at all. “I am happy, Mr. President and thank you for my commitment. And who did you meet with Mr. Piesiewicz? Because the presidents of the relationship do not know anything. Athletes who block the act received the right to influence the relationships and increases in scholarships they know nothing. Or maybe there was a woman?” – perversely, the minister wrote, referring to the act on the forced presence of women in sports relationships.

This was not the only response of a member of the Civic Coalition. “Meeting at the summit. An outstanding IOC activist met with an outstanding sports activist. We are waiting for a photo. Who Andrzej Duda met really. Because something smells of a lie with these representatives of sports relationships,” says Sławomir Nitras.
