Nowy Dwór Mazowiecki. A brutal attack on a cyclist. The perpetrator tried to rape her

The cyclist was hit in the head and lost consciousness. According to the police, she was attacked by a man who later dragged her to a secluded place and intended to sexually abuse. He was detained thanks to the rapid reaction of witnesses. He faces up to 15 years in prison. The incident occurred at Nowy Dwór Mazowiecki.

The incident occurred on Sunday, March 30, in the afternoon. A message about this matter was published on Friday. Policemen received a notification about a civic detention of a man who in one of the towns in the Nowodworski poviat attacked a woman riding a bicycle.

“Her relationship showed that she felt a sudden blow to the head and lost consciousness. Fortunately, the witnesses reacted in time. They noticed a man who pulled the woman in a secluded place and tried to lead to sexual intercourse. They took the perpetrator and they notified the police” – informs Commissioner Joanna Wielocha, a spokeswoman for the Poviat Police Headquarters in Nowy Dwór Mazowiecki.

He faces 15 years in prison

The man was detained by a prevention patrol. He was sent to police custody. At the scene of the incident, officers of the investigation group and forensic techniques performed.

“After gathering the evidence, the suspect heard the allegation of attempted rape, for which the Penal Code provides for a penalty of up to 15 years in prison,” says Wielocha.

The prosecutor's office applied for a temporary detention for the suspect. The court decided that the man was arrested for three months.
