OC prices up: As much as 19.7 percent The average price of civil liability in the first quarter of 2025 was higher in terms of year -on -year (i.e. compared to the first quarter of last year). In some provinces and voivodship cities, however, it is even 25 percent. This means on average PLN 118 more to pay. Young drivers will suffer the most – for them the average insurance amount increased by over PLN 500.
Where will we pay the most? The most expensive province is Pomeranian (on average PLN 810), and there were also on the podium Masovian (PLN 757) i Lower Silesian (PLN 756). Drivers from the provinces pay the least on average Podkarpackie, Świętokrzyskie and Opole (568, 591 and 591 PLN respectively). However, if you look at the scale of increases, the worst is Podlasie (as much as 168 percent), and preferably Silesian (21.4 percent). Greater increases also took place in voivodship cities. In the first quarter, Gdańsk (PLN 961), Wrocław (PLN 931) and Szczecin (PLN 874) had the most expensive OC. At the other end they are Rzeszów (PLN 700), Katowice (PLN 690) and Opole (PLN 651). Average increases in voivodship cities ranged from 18.9 percent. in Wroclaw up to 24.6 percent in Gorzów Wielkopolski.
What next? Although prices are rising, if we consider the following quarters, you can see stabilization. For the first time in seven quarters at the beginning of 2025 there was a 0.9 percent reduction. in terms of quarter to the quarter. In an annual basis, however, the increase in prices will still be visible. – This is favored by a market situation in which insurers pay more compensation, as well as the costs of insurance and damage to damage are rising. Soon the average premium will exceed PLN 700 – says Bartosz Niewiadomski, president of Rankomat.pl.
What affects the amount of OC? For liability Young drivers pay the most (usually aged 18 to 25, shortly having driving license). The average for 19-year-olds is PLN 2619. On the other hand, people over 61 may benefit from the biggest discounts (average PLN 578). Insurance also depends on the car brand (the cheapest skoda, on average PLN 659, the most expensive BMW – PLN 877) and marital status (for singles it is PLN 877, for people married PLN 634).
