On Thursday evening, a pedestrian was hit at a marked crossing in Ołtarzew near Warsaw. The woman was taken to hospital in a serious condition. The driver escaped.
A serious accident occurred on Poznańska Street in Ołtarzew (western Warsaw district). The police were notified about the incident after 9 p.m.

– A 59-year-old woman was hit on a marked, illuminated pedestrian crossing without signals. She was transported to hospital in a serious condition. The perpetrator of this incident escaped. Activities are underway to determine it, Deputy Inspector Ewelina Gromek-Oćwieja from the District Police Headquarters for the western Warsaw district told us on Friday.
The policewoman appealed to any witnesses of the accident to contact the District Police Headquarters in Stare Babice or any other unit.
A 22-year-old was hit and killed
Less than two weeks in the nearby town of Błonie-Wieś As a result of being hit on national road number 92, a 22-year-old pedestrian died. The woman was pregnant. The driver fled the scene of the accident without helping the injured party. In connection with this case, three people were arrested in the following days.
