IMWM warns against strong winds. Even second-degree alerts are in force in two voivodeships. Hazardous conditions will persist in places throughout the night.

Institute of Meteorology and Water Management (IMWM) issued first and second degree meteorological warnings.

Second degree meteorological warnings – strong wind

Second degree warnings against strong winds apply in the following voivodeships:

  • Lesser Polandin the following counties: Gorlice, Nowy SÄ…cz, Nowy SÄ…cz;
  • Podkarpackiein the following counties: JasÅ‚o, Krosno, KrosnoSanok, Lesko and Bieszczady.

Strong winds with an average speed of up to 40 kilometers per hour and gusts of up to 80 km/h are forecast. from the south and southwest. At times the wind may increase to 50 km/h and gust up to 100 km/h.

The warnings will be valid until 6 p.m. on Sunday.

First degree meteorological warnings – strong wind

First degree strong wind alerts have been issued in the following voivodeships:

  • Silesianin the following counties: Å»ywiec, Bielsko, Bielsko-BiaÅ‚a;
  • Lesser Polandin the following counties: Tatra, Nowy Targ, Sucha;
  • Lower Silesiain the following counties: KÅ‚odzko, ZÄ…bkowicki, Dzierżoniów, WaÅ‚brzych, WaÅ‚brzychKamienna Góra, Åšwidnica, Jawor, ZÅ‚otoryja, Karkonosze, Jelenia GóraLwówek, LubaÅ„.

Locally strong winds with an average speed of up to 40 km/h and gusts of up to 75 km/h are forecast to occur from the south and southwest. The warnings will be valid until 4 p.m. on Sunday, only in Lower Silesia until 11 on the same day.
