A six-year-old boy, riding a bicycle, failed to yield to a BMW driver and hit the side of the car. Fortunately, the boy was unharmed. His mother was fined, however.
On Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. the police received a report of a collision between an underage cyclist and a BMW driver.
– Police officers were dispatched to the scene and confirmed the report. According to their initial findings, the six-year-old, riding his bike off a dirt road, hit the side of a BMW whose driver was driving on the main road – informs Tomasz Żerański from the Municipal Police Headquarters in Ostrołęka in a statement.

The child did not suffer any injuries in this serious incident.
Parental responsibility
– The boy's mother was given a fine for improper supervision of a minor – Żerański adds and reminds: it is the parents who are primarily responsible for proper care of their children. It is worth remembering this before a tragedy occurs.
Art. 106. Whoever, having an obligation to care for or supervise a minor under 7 years of age or another person incapable of recognizing or defending themselves against danger, allows such person to remain in circumstances hazardous to human health, shall be subject to a fine or a reprimand.
