A 42-year-old man who left his child in his car at night while he was in his care has been charged. The two-year-old girl was spotted by a passer-by.
It is about a situation that occurred on the night from Saturday to Sunday. It was then that a 42-year-old left the girl in the car at night. The child was pulled out of the parked car by police and firefighters. An ambulance was also called to the scene. Fortunately, the two-year-old did not require medical attention. She was handed over to her family.
The police quickly determined that the child was supposed to be under the care of his father at the time. However, he was not even near the car. When the officers reached the man, it turned out that he was drunk.
He heard the charges
The spokesman for the District Prosecutor's Office in Ostrów Wielkopolski, prosecutor Maciej Meler, announced on Tuesday that the girl's father has been charged with exposing a child to the danger of loss of life or serious bodily harm.
– At approximately 1 a.m., the man, contrary to his duty of care, abandoned his minor child, who was under his exclusive care, leaving her in a closed, parked car, thereby exposing the minor to direct danger of loss of life or serious bodily injury, said prosecutor Maciej Meler.
He shouldn't be driving either.
Additionally, according to the findings, the man, in violation of the court's driving ban, drove the car in which the girl was found.
The 42-year-old pleaded not guilty.
