We talked with Jacek Siewiera about the presidential elections, but not about the start – said Deputy Prime Minister, head of the Ministry of National Defense Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz in “Rozmowa Piaseckiego” on TVN24. He assessed that the head of the National Security Bureau “is very well prepared to run in the elections”, but “probably the next ones”.
At the beginning of November the head of the National Security Bureau, Jacek Siewiera, was asked in “Rozmowa Piaseckiego” on TVN24or “some serious political force” talked to him about running in next year's presidential elections and proposes him to run. He replied that “there were such conversations.” However, he added that he is a soldier and “he has never written an application for exemption from professional military service.”
Asked if he was the deputy prime minister, head of the Ministry of National Defense Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz suggested he run for office, he replied that they had “very good relations with the Minister of National Defense.” When asked if it was “so good that one day Kosiniak-Kamysz would come to him and say: Colonel, please consider running for president from PSL”, Siewiera, after thinking for a few seconds, replied: – The place for this conversation is primarily with my superior.
Kosiniak-Kamysz: Siewiera and I talked about the elections, but not about the start
The PSL leader commented on the whole matter on Wednesday in “Rozmowa Piaseckiego”. Asked whether he actually suggested Siewierz to run in the presidential elections, he replied that they talked “about the presidential elections, but not about running.” He added that the conversation also concerned “his involvement in politics.”
– I believe that Minister Siewiera is very well prepared to run in the elections, not this one, but probably the next ones – he said.
– I would like to see him in politics – he added. – It is worth having wise, prepared people in politics – he said.
