There was a three -story building in Pszów (Śląskie Voivodeship). Jacek Dobrzyński, spokesman for the head of the Ministry of Interior and Administration, reported after 9pm that five people were killed. He also informed that the fire was controlled, 120 firefighters participated in the action.

“5 people were killed in the tragic fire of the hostel in Pszów. The fire was controlled. 120 firefighters participated in the action using 34 fire cars. The Chief Commander of the State Fire Service goes to the place” – he wrote.
The head of the Ministry of Interior and Administration Tomasz Siemoniak informed on X that he was receiving current reports on the tragic fire in Pszów from the Silesian voivode Marek Wójcik as well as the commander of the State Fire Service Nadbrygadier Wojciech Kruczek. “We will inform about the situation in the coming hours,” he added.
Eight people were evacuated
The fire in the hostel broke out around 18.30. The fire brigade reported that eight people were evacuated from the building and there were two more according to preliminary information inside. After the outbreak of the fire, some people left the building alone, others were taken out. Tenants were then taken under the care of paramedics.
Aspirant Piotr Kanieka from the Poviat Police Headquarters in Wodzisław Śląski said that two policemen also suffered in the fire who were the first to go to evacuate tenants. – One policeman with symptoms of poisoning was taken to the hospital, the other was given help on the spot – he described.
