On Wednesday, the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs talked to the Secretary of State USA Marco Rubio. “During the conversation, the state of negotiations in the matter of peace in Ukraine and the scenarios of the development of the situation, the possibilities of pressure on Russia, the situation on the border with Belarus were discussed,” the ministry later informed.
The statement after the interview was also issued by the spokeswoman for the Tammy Bruce State Department. She said that the ministers “discussed further cooperation to end the Russian-Ukrainian war”, and Rubio “expressed the hope of the United States that the peace proposal presented to Ukrainian and Russian officials would be accepted and would lead to permanent peace in Ukraine.”
On Thursday, Sikorski was asked in “Yes, on TVN24 about the effects of this conversation and about the possible withdrawal of the American side from negotiations on the ending wars in Ukraine.
