Police officers from Radziejów (Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship) stopped a driver who was drifting in a parking lot in front of a store. The man was fined several hundred zlotys and given penalty points.
According to staff aspirant Marcin Krasucki, press officer of the District Police Headquarters in Radziejów, the incident took place on the weekend on Komunalna Street in Radziejów.
– Police officers of the road traffic department on evening duty noticed an Audi whose driver was drifting in a snow-covered store parking lot. They stopped the vehicle for inspection. A 22-year-old from the Włocławek district was behind the wheel, and there were passengers inside – confirmed the policeman.
Drift can end tragically
The man was fined several hundred zlotys and given penalty points.
The police reminds that drifting may have serious consequences.
– Drifting on public roads is not only dangerous, but also illegal. People interested in drifting should look for legal and safe places to practice this form of driving, such as a race track – appealed staff aspirant Krasucki.
