Importantly, in September, Telewizja Polska also received PLN 23.56 million from the National Broadcasting Council obtained from revenues from subscription fees for October and PLN 11.35 million from surplus subscription fees from 2022. It should be noted that this payment was accelerated due to the flood.
A larger sum also went to Polish Radio.
“On September 11 this year, Polskie Radio SA in liquidation signed an agreement with the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage for co-financing from the state budget the amount of PLN 30 million of the Company's current expenses, intended to ensure the continuation of co-financing of statutory tasks related to the implementation of the public mission in 2024 (…). The funds will be allocated for the purpose indicated in the agreement,” the spokesman for Polskie Radio, Piotr Daniluk, informed the portal.
Polish Radio also received PLN 11.319 million from the National Broadcasting Council for October RTV subscription fees and over PLN 5.451 million from the above-mentioned surplus.
