A 54-year-old man riding a quad bike left the road for unknown reasons and hit a power pole. The man died at the scene. The police and prosecutor's office are investigating the exact circumstances of the incident.
The tragic accident occurred on Thursday at around 9 p.m. on Cisowa Street in Sasino (Pomeranian Voivodeship). Asp. Karolina Pruchniak from the District Police Headquarters in Wejherowo told the tvn24.pl portal about the initial findings.
– For an unknown reason, the 54-year-old quad driver drove onto the green belt separating the roadway and the bike path, where he hit an electricity pole. As a result of the injuries sustained, the man died at the scene – the policewoman said.
The case is being investigated by the police and prosecutor's office
As previously reported by the officer on duty at the Provincial Fire Department in Gdańsk, bystanders and firefighters resuscitated the 54-year-old until the Medical Rescue Team arrived. However, upon arrival, the paramedics confirmed the man's death and the arrival of the Air Ambulance Service was canceled.
The exact circumstances of the accident will now be investigated by investigators under the supervision of the prosecutor's office.
