Clashes during the demonstration

On Friday evening there were another demonstration commemorating the victims of the disaster in Nowy Sad. The clashes with the police occurred in the city of Niche in the south of the country. Functions were thrown and poured with water.

Acting prime minister Serbia Milos Vuczević informed on Friday that he sent a letter to his Russian counterpart Mikhail Miszustin asking for help in the investigation into the disaster. Earlier, a similar letter was also sent to the vice president USA JD Vance.

Regular demonstrations, which are a response to the disaster, have been held for five months. Demonstrators accuse the authorities of corruption and neglect, which – in their opinion – led to the collapse of the roof of the station.
