During the Smolensk monthly commemoration, PiS chairman Jarosław Kaczyński called one of the participants of the assembly a “Putin rag”. – The provocations are becoming increasingly heated and not everyone can stand it – said the presidential minister Andrzej Dera. Zbigniew Bogucki (PiS) assessed that these words were “justified”. Katarzyna Lubnauer (KO) said in turn that it was Antoni Macierewicz, with Kaczyński's permission, who “very strongly polarized Polish society when it comes to the Smolensk disaster”. – Kaczyński sometimes uses phrases such as “scoundrel” to the Sejm chamber – reminded Anita Kucharska-Dziedzic (New Left).

Jaroslaw Kaczynski took part on Saturday, August 10 in the Smolensk monthly celebrations at Piłsudski Square in Warsaw. After the ceremony, an incident occurred during which the PiS chairman lost his temper. “You Putin rag” – these were the words the PiS chairman used to address one of the protesters during the Smolensk monthly celebrations. The politician responded in this way to verbal attacks such as “stop these lies”.

The program also featured guests Krzysztof Bosak (Confederation) and Piotr Zgorzelski (Polish People's Party).

Lubnauer: It was Macierewicz who made a farce out of the Smolensk catastrophe

Katarzyna Lubnauer said that the disputes were largely caused by Antoni Macierewicz, who “polarized Polish society very strongly when it comes to the Smolensk disaster”. – It was intentional propaganda. That's all that has been done in recent years since Smolensk disaster (…) caused certain social emotions, she said.

– Additionally, President Jarosław Kaczyński, I have the impression that he has completely lost the habit of having any contact with society. I travel by public transport quite often, I often have contact with people and it happens that someone talks to me or behaves inelegantly, but it has never happened that I have said the same kind of words – said Lubnauer.

She added that, in her opinion, Macierewicz “made a farce” out of “the national tragedy that was the Smolensk catastrophe”. – He did it with the consent of Jarosław Kaczyński – she said.

Kucharska-Dziedzic: Kaczyński sometimes uses phrases like “scoundrel”

Anita Kucharska-Dziedzic said that “awakening hatred, awakening demons in society is something we should fight together.”

– Jarosław Kaczyński sometimes uses phrases like “scoundrel” to the Sejm chamber. He was able to dehumanize people LGBT saying not: “these people”, but “this” – said the MP.

Dera: provocations are getting more and more heated, not everyone can stand it

Andrzej Dera, a minister from the Chancellery of the President, was asked to comment on Kaczyński's words. – I never say (such words – ed.) in public, I try to respect everyone. However, sometimes some people's behavior is absolutely scandalous and provocative. Not everyone has such calmness. I'm not justifying, I'm just saying that not everyone has such calmness and distance that they are able to endure it – said the guest of “Kawa na ławę”.

– Some people succumb (to emotions – ed.) and the problem is that these provocations are becoming more and more heated and not everyone can stand it. This is the problem in politics today – said Dera.

Bogucki: these words are justified

– Mr. Chairman Jarosław Kaczyński is coming to commemorate the death of his late brother, but also of all the victims who died there. And what is happening around it is anti-civilization – said Bogucki. He added that during the Smolensk monthly celebrations there is a “run amok of hatred”.

– I believe that in this matter we should respect what is the basis of Western civilization, which is respect for the dead. There is no such respect there – said the PiS MP. Asked if these are slogans that show a lack of respect for the victims of the disaster, he replied that they do.

Asked whether this justifies the behavior of Jarosław Kaczyński, who calls someone a “Putin rag”, Boguski said that “this provocation that exists causes emotions in the president as well”. – In my opinion, they (these words – ed.) are justified as much as possible – the politician believes.
