A serious accident occurred in the town of Smulsko in the Wielkopolska province. Two vehicles collided. A total of 18 people were travelling in them, including 12 children. A rescue operation is underway on the scene. National road number 72 is blocked.
The accident on DK72 was reported by General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways. As reported, in the town of Smulsko, between Turek and Uniejów, two vehicles collided. The report stated that 15 people were injured.
Press officer of the District Police Headquarters in Turek, junior cadet Malwina Laskowska, reported that at around 11:38 a.m. there was a collision between two vehicles: a van and a passenger car. – There was one adult and two children in the passenger car, five adults and ten children in the van. First aid is being provided, the Air Ambulance Service has been dispatched – the policewoman reported.
