Police officers from Strzelce Opolskie detained two men who identified themselves as officers and robbed a 20-year-old man. They found the masqueraders a few hours after receiving the report. The 18-year-old and the 33-year-old face up to three years in prison.

The 20-year-old was approached by two men who pretended to be police officers from the shooting police station and informed him that he was being arrested for possession of illegal substances. A resident of the Strzelce district suspected that he was dealing with fraudsters due to the suspicious appearance of the “officers”. One of them had his face covered with a club balaclava, and the other had flip-flops on his feet, so he asked them to show their official IDs.

“The men then grabbed the 20-year-old by the arms and got into his car. They told him that his vehicle's registration number was on the police list of drug dealers. The boy explained that this was not possible because the car belonged to his mother and he he does not associate with such company,” we read in a statement from the Opole police.

The disguisers were arrested after a few hours

The “policemen” ordered the man to go with them to the police station in Sucha, where he was to be interrogated. The man knew that such a police station did not exist.

At one point, the driver stopped on one of the forest roads. There they took the 20-year-old's wallet containing PLN 200. After searching the car, they ordered the boy to return to the town where they started their “intervention”. The fake policemen got off at the liquor store, and the 20-year-old went to the shooting station to report the entire incident.

The man gave their detailed descriptions, and they were arrested a few hours after the incident. An 18-year-old and a 33-year-old were charged with three prosecutors each.

They face up to three years in prison.
