Calm on a daily basis Chełm was shocked by information about the tragedy that took place on Wednesday before noon in the building of one of the schools. Winter holidays are ongoing in Lublin, but care classes take place.
– Yesterday (Wednesday – editor's note) before noon the duty officer of the Municipal Police Headquarters in Chełm received a report about an unfortunate event that occurred at one of the special schools in Chełm. According to previous findings, a 9 -year -old girl, being in class, at one point took the candy to her mouth, which she began to choke – informs nadkom. The candy fell into the child's respiratory tract. Unfortunately, the girl suffocated. The police and prosecutor's office have already questioned witnesses and participants of the event.
– We are talking here primarily about the staff who was present at this event. It should be pointed out that an attempt was made to save the child's life, but unfortunately it failed. We will also explain whether there has been any negligence regarding a possible lack in the staff – says Agnieszka Kępka from the District Prosecutor's Office in Lublin.
Children who witness the accident were taken care of by a psychologist. “As a school, we are shocked and deeply moved by this event. We will cooperate with the relevant services to thoroughly examine the circumstances of this event” – we read in the school's communiqué.

At school, they called an ambulance, but it is not known how a rescue operation was carried out earlier. At the request of the prosecutor's office, the doctors conducted an autopsy.
