The “dynamic vortex” will approach Poland

– Poland remains under the influence of the great high pressure stretching from the Mid-Atlantic to Russia. It suppresses moisture, clouds and fog at the ground, and a weakly active atmospheric front, which moves over Poland from the north-west, drops moisture and light rainfall or drizzle. Warm polar air will flow over the western and northern regions, but the rest of the country will remain in cold air masses. This is typical late autumn weather, says tvnmeteo.pl forecaster Arleta Unton-Pyziołek.

IN Thursday, the second day of Christmasit will be cloudy. There will be light rain or drizzle in the west, north and center of the country. It will be foggy in some places throughout the day, but it will clear up in southern and southeastern Poland. The maximum temperature will range from 0 degrees Celsius in Podkarpacie, through 3-4 degrees C in the center of the country, to 8 degrees C in Pomerania. The wind will be west and south-west, light and moderate.

Friday it will also be cloudy and foggy. There may be light rain in Pomerania and Podkarpacie. Thermometers will show from 2-3 degrees C in the south-east, through 5 degrees C in the center of the country, to 7-8 degrees C in the west and Pomerania. The wind from the west will blow weakly and moderately.

IN Saturday the sky will be covered with clouds and fog may persist throughout the day. The temperature at the warmest moment of the day will reach from 3 degrees C in the south-eastern part of the country, through 4 degrees C in the center, to 7 degrees C in Pomerania. There will be a southwesterly, light to moderate wind.

Sunday it looks cloudy with some showers in the southern regions. The thermometers will show from 2 degrees C in Podkarpacie, through 5 degrees C in the center, to 6 degrees C in Pomerania. Moderate and quite strong winds will blow from the southwest, gusting to 60 kilometers per hour in the north.

As the forecaster explains, “only on the second day of the weekend will the high pressure begin to give way to the low pressure pressing from the north, a dynamic vortex from the North Atlantic, which will set the air masses in motion.” – The wind speed will increase in Poland, the clouds will begin to move faster across the sky, there will be clear showers and clearing – he explains.

IN Monday it will also be cloudy, and there will be clear showers in southern Poland. Rainfall of up to 5 liters per square meter is forecast in the northern voivodeships. The maximum temperature will range from 4 degrees C in the east, through 6 degrees C in central Poland, to 7-8 degrees C in Western Pomerania and the Coast. There will be a southwesterly, moderate and quite strong wind, with gusts reaching speeds of up to 60-80 km/h.

– Cold fronts are supposed to move towards us, which will bring a big change in the weather. At the turn of December and January, a large bay of cold is expected to develop, thanks to which the weather will revert to a winter path in January – adds Unton-Pyziołek.
