Some budget provisions must be adjusted to rebuild the flood-damaged areas of southern Poland. The head of the prime minister's office, Minister Jan Grabiec, said in recent statements to the media that specific proposals for budget entries would appear at Saturday's government meeting. In this context, he mentioned guaranteeing funds, among others, for the reconstruction of schools and libraries, as well as sports facilities, houses and apartments.

The schedule of Saturday's meeting of government members was published on the website of the Prime Minister's office. The flood and reconstruction of the damage will not be the only topic of the meeting. The ministers will also discuss the draft public debt management strategy for the next three years and the limit on appointments to the Civil Service until 2027.
According to Prime Minister Donald Tusk's announcement last Tuesday, Saturday's meeting of the Council of Ministers will begin with a report of the services on the current flood situation in the country, open to journalists. The heads of designated ministries will submit reports on the operation of services in places where the flood wave is currently occurring, i.e. in the lower section of the Odra River in the West Pomeranian Voivodeship.

Saturday's government meeting will be the first in many months to be attended by Marcin Kierwiński, who was elected to the European Parliament in May after resigning from the portfolio of Minister of External Affairs. Now Kierwiński has been appointed a member of the government as the government's plenipotentiary for post-flood reconstructionat the same time he also resigned his mandate in the European Parliament.
