The next few days will be full of changes. On Sunday, atmospheric fronts will pass over Poland, bringing storms and precipitation. In some places, the thermometers will show up to 30 degrees. The next week will bring us more peace in the weather and lower values on the thermometers – at least at the beginning.
As explained by tvnmeteo.pl weather forecaster Arleta Unton-Pyziołek, Poland remains under the influence of the Johanna low from the North Atlantic. A cold front is moving over our country from west to east, pushed by polar air masses. It is pushing out hot tropical masses. A rain wave has developed on the front, which is to move over Pomerania at night and on Sunday morning, bringing downpours. On Sunday afternoon, the rain wave will leave Pomerania, and the cold front with rain and storms will already lie over the eastern regions of the country.
Weather for Sunday
Sunday is expected to be cloudy with clearings. Periods of rain will occur up to 10 liters of water per square meter, and in Pomerania up to 20 l/sq. m. In eastern and southeastern Poland, as well as in Pomerania, it may thunder. Thermometers will show from 18-19 degrees Celsius in the area of the Gulf of Gdansk, through 23-24 degrees C in central regions, to 30 degrees C in Podkarpacie. Thermometers will show from 25 degrees Celsius in Podlasie, through 27 degrees Celsius in the center of the country, to 30 degrees Celsius in Lower Silesia. Light and moderate winds will blow from the north.
On Thursday, colder air from the Atlantic is to press from the west onto the hot masses. It will favor the formation of another storm front.
