On Monday, the Polish national team grouping begins before the first qualification matches for the world championships, which will take place next year in the USA, Canada and Mexico. On Friday, Michał Probierz's team will play with Lithuania, and on Monday with Malta.
Nicola Zalewski will not appear at the grouping. Although the 23-year-old was on the list of cited by Probierz, he will not come to Poland ultimately. All because of muscle injury, which eliminated Zalewski from the last seven matches of Inter.
The last time the 23-year-old played on February 16 in a league match against Juventus (0: 1). Although Zalewski had a monthly break behind him, Przywer appointed him to the team. This did not like Inter -Inter -Inzaghi coach – who was to contact the Polish staff and ask to dismiss the Pole for the grouping.
On Sunday afternoon it became clear that Zalewski would not appear at the grouping. For Probierz and his team it is a great loss, because the 23-year-old in recent months was the best player of the Polish national team.
This is also another weakening of the staff, because due to an injury to the grouping, another Inter Milan player Piotr Zieliński will not come. However, this was known for several days. On Sunday evening, it turned out who would appear on the grouping in place of Zalewski.
Marczuk in place of Zalewski
“A very possible scenario of rotation in Poland's frames in the face of Zalewski's absence, is the shift of Dominik Marczuk to the first national team and the confidence of Marcel Krajewski from Widzew to the U -21 team” – wrote Mateusz Borek on Twitter.
A moment later his information was confirmed by the PrzegladSportowy.onet.pl portal. “As we managed to find out, Dominik Marczuk will be arranged in his place. Real Salt Lake midfielder was originally to appear at the collection of youth staff, which awaits social matches with Denmark and Ukraine,” they were told.
Marczuk in MLS has been playing since last year, where he came from Jagiellonia Białystok. Until now, he played 15 matches in the new club, in which he scored and had four assists. Marczuk had two of them in the last two performances.
A week ago, Marczuk assisted in the match against FC San Diego (1: 3), and on Sunday in a meeting with Houston Dynamo (2: 1). The 21-year-old is a single Polish representative. Marczuk played the only match in the team on November 15, when Poland lost in Porto with Portugal 1: 5 in the League of Nations. The Real Salt Lake City player scored an honorary goal for Probierz's team.
