On Thursday, during a session, councilors adopted resolutions approving the names of three new metro stations on the M2 line in Bemowo. They will be called Karolin, Chrzanów and Lazurowa.
The councillors were unanimous and supported the names of three new stations proposed by the Public Transport Authority on the Bemowo section of the M2 metro line.
Station C01, located on the western section of metro line II at the intersection of Sochaczewska and Połczyńska streets, will be called Caroline. Station C02, located in the western section of metro line II, along Gen. Rayskiego Street – Chrzanowand the C03 station between Górczewska, Lazurowa and Witolda Doroszewskiego streets – Azure.

Three stations have been designed on the almost four-kilometre, Bemowo section of the second metro line. Lazurowa station is being built on the south-eastern side of the intersection of Lazurowa and Górczewska, between the tram terminus and Lazurowa. Chrzanów station is planned under Rayskiego Street, near the intersection with Szeligowska. Karolin station is located under Sochaczewska Street, on the northern side of the intersection with Połczyńska. The technical base for the entire line – STP Karolin – is being built behind it. The contract worth PLN 1.9 billion and its opening for passenger use is planned for 2026.
