The prosecutor presented another corruption allegations to another detained in the case of irregularities in Collegium Humanum. Among them are two former heads of the State Fire Service. The National Prosecutor's Office reported that the allegations are related to obtaining false documents and allegations of appropriation of property.
On Tuesday morning Central Anti -Corruption Bureau Four people stopped – two former headquarters of the State Fire Service and former deputy commander and former Director for Education of Students of the Main School of the Fire Service in connection with the investigation into the unfair acquisition of Collegium Humanum diplomas.
It is, among others, the Chief Commander of the State Fire Service in 2019–24 Brig. Andrzej Bartkowiak and Nadbryg. Mariusz Feltynowski – Chief Commander of the State Fire Service from January 2024 to February 2025 and rector -commander of the Fire Academy in Warsaw in 2021–2024. They both gave the reporter to TVN24 Małgorzata Marczok that they agree to give their full names.
Corruption allegations
The prosecutor presented the detainees of corrupt nature, allegations related to obtaining false documents and appropriation of property.
“The allegations announced to Mariusz F. and Wojciech J. concern the granting of Paweł Cz., Former rector of Collegium Humanum, a personal benefit consisting in the implementation of joint projects by the indicated university with the Main School of Fire Service in Warsaw, in exchange for issuing untruthful documents confirming the completion of post -graduate studies Executive Master of Business Administration ” – we read in a statement of the National Prosecutor's Office.
“The allegations regarding Andrzej B. and Krzysztof H., i.e. the former commander and deputy commander of the State Fire Service, are associated with obtaining under the concluded agreement confirming the untruth of diplomas of completing post -graduate studies Executive Master of Business Administration” – wrote.
The prosecutor's office also reported that at the same time Andrzej B. and Krzysztof H. committed to Paweł Cz. financial benefits in PLN 1,100 and PLN 9,900, respectively, knowing that the fees paid by them relate to obtaining a diploma without actual studies.
In addition – as the National Prosecutor's Office informed – Andrzej B. and Krzysztof H., “acting jointly, they appropriated cash in the amount of PLN 9,900 belonging to the Headquarters of the State Fire Service in Warsaw in connection with the conclusion of a contract for co -financing by this institution of education costs at post -graduate studies Executive Master of Business Administration organized by Collegium Humanum.”
“On the basis of an invoice issued by Krzysztof H. issued by Collegium Humanum, Andrzej B., as the Chief Commander of the State Fire Service, approved the payment order to the account of Krzysztof H.
Property guarantees
The prosecutor applied the detained libertarian preventive measures in the form of a financial guarantee of PLN 40 to 80,000, police supervision and a ban on contacting specific persons.
Investigators said that arrests were justified by the need to confront other suspects and “guaranteed the concentration of evidence at one time and in one place.”
“The confrontation was necessary to explain the contradictory versions of the events presented by individual suspects. They also enriched the evidence and allowed the prosecutor to immediately verify the line of defense of the suspects and examine the credibility of their explanations. In addition, the use of the detention supported the necessity of immediately applying for suspected preventive measures” – assessed the prosecutor's office.
The case of Collegium Humanum
There are currently 63 suspects in all threads of the investigation, which have been presented in total 342 allegations.
Collegium Humanum was founded in 2018 in Warsaw. A private university offered fast MBA courses and other programs that facilitate the acquisition of diplomas often used for promotion in the structures of state -owned companies. Some of these diplomas issued without an appropriate educational process, and their credibility was to be provided by cooperating foreign universities, which in fact did not have permissions. Collegium Humanum graduates were, among others Politicians, presidents and members of the management boards of State Treasury companies
