The weekend will bring snowfall, which will turn into sleet and rain in parts of the country. They will be freezing in places, making it very slippery. The new week will bring us warmer weather and an increase in temperature to about 10 degrees.
Poland remains in an area of reduced pressure, in the stream of cold Arctic air flowing from the north. In places, puffy clouds form in it, from which snow falls briefly.
– From the south, the country will be covered by a very humid low-pressure vortex called Renate, the center of which is moving over the Balkans. It will bring heavy snowfall on the night from Thursday to Friday and on Friday. It will rain from Silesia to Podkarpacie and the Lublin region. In the afternoon, however, it is expected to move away from south-eastern Poland further east, said tvnmeteo.pl forecaster Arleta Unton-Pyziołek.
On Saturday, Poland will be under the influence of a high-pressure wedge for a while, but there will be clouds and light snowfall over many regions of the country.
– On Sunday, the country will be under the influence of a large and strong moderate latitude cyclone from the west, with its center located over the North Atlantic. The northern circulation of air will give way to the western, warmer one. However, before warming comes, there will be further wet snowfalls turning into rain. They will form on a warm front entering the country from the west – added the tvnmeteo.pl forecaster. Warmer air will flow from the southwest, the temperature is expected to rise.
On Monday, there will be a strong temperature jump above 10 degrees in western Poland. – Przezimie will give up for a while – added Arleta Unton-Pyziołek.
Weather for Friday
Friday it will bring cloudy weather with some showers. Additionally, there is occasional snowfall of up to 1-3 centimeters. In the south and southeast of the country, rainfall will be heavier and there will be 5-10 cm of snow, especially in the Carpathians. Rainfall is expected to taper off in the afternoon. The maximum temperature will be quite even, ranging from 0 degrees C in the east, through 1 degree C in the center of the country, to 3 degrees C in Pomerania and Lower Silesia. There will be a moderate west wind.
Weather for the weekend
Saturday It will be cloudy with more sunshine. It shouldn't rain in western Poland. In other regions, light snowfall of up to 1-2 cm is expected. Thermometers will show a maximum of 1 degree C in the east, through 2 degrees C in the center of the country, to 3-4 degrees C in the west. The western wind, moderate and quite strong, will gust up to 50-70 kilometers per hour.
Sunday it looks cloudy. There will be wet snowfall of up to 5 cm moving from the west into the country, turning into sleet and rain with an intensity of 15 liters per square meter. The precipitation will be freezing in some places, making it slippery. The thermometers will show a maximum of 1-2 degrees C in the east, through 4 degrees C in the center of the country, to 8 degrees C in Pomerania. The southwest wind, moderate and quite strong, will gust up to 50-70 km/h. In the mountains, winds may reach up to 100 km/h.
Weather for Monday and Tuesday
On Monday cloudy weather with some showers is forecast. The temperature at the warmest moment of the day will range from 4 degrees C in the north-east, through 8 degrees C in the center of the country, to 12 degrees C in Pomerania. There will be a southerly wind, quite strong, gusting to 60-80 km/h, and in the mountains up to 100 km/h.
In Tuesday it will be cloudy with some showers. Showy rainfall of 1-5 l/sq m is expected from the west into the country. Thermometers will show a maximum of 4 degrees C in Warmia and Podlasie, through 9 degrees C in the center of the country, to 10 degrees C in the southwest of the country. The wind will blow from the south-west and west, moderate and quite strong.
