The prosecutor's office's investigation into the Justice Fund, which has been going on since February last year, is multi -threaded; It takes place, among others regarding the exceeding of powers and failure to fulfill his duties by the then Minister of Justice and the ministry officials, which included management, distribution and settlement of funds from the Justice Fund.
In February, prosecutors sent the first indictment to the District Court in Warsaw to six people in the case of the Justice Fund, which concerns the thread of the Profeto Foundation. In this case, in addition to the former president of the Foundation, Fr. Michał Olszewski is accused of former clerks of the Ministry of Justice – Urszula D. (former director of the Department of the Justice Fund in MS) and Karolina K. (former head of one of the faculties in the Department of the Justice Fund), which were responsible for the award of these funds and had with Fr. Olszewski to act together and in agreement. In addition, the prosecutor accused Fr. Olszewski for crimes referred to as money laundering.
The court has not yet set the date of the meeting at which the trial in this case will start.
